Recently, two containers of sodium bicarbonate and ammonium bicarbonate provided by Hangzhou Focus Corporation successfully arrived at Dar es Salaam Port, Tanzania.
             
             These products—food-grade sodium bicarbonate and ammonium bicarbonate—will be widely used in Tanzania’s food processing, and daily chemical, adding another achievement to the chemical trade cooperation between China and Tanzania.

             
             Sodium bicarbonate, commonly known as baking soda, is a versatile inorganic compound widely used in food and daily chemical production. It ensures the softness and taste of bakery products, and also serves as an important raw material in detergent and pharmaceutical industries.

              Ammonium bicarbonate is an effective leavening agent. It helps biscuits, cakes, and other baked foods develop a light texture, while also supplying nitrogen nutrition to crops such as corn and wheat, promoting yield improvement.

              This shipment marks another solid step for Hangzhou Focus Corporation’s food additive to expand in the African market. With diversified product labeling—such as “baking soda”, “ammonium carbonate”—the company continues to align with local market habits and needs, further deepening China–Tanzania cooperation in food processing.
