           A leading Indian food ingredient importer recently signed a contract with our company to purchase 4 containers (about 88 tons) of 99% pure MSG（Monosodium glutamate）, which is expected to arrive at Mumbai Port later this month.               MSG is a sodium salt of glutamate made from corn and other starchy materials through biological fermentation. Since its discovery in the early 20th century, humans have been using MSG for more than 100 years. As the most important flavor enhancer, seasoning ,MSG is widely used in the food industry, catering and home cooking. Rigorous scientific research shows that MSG is a safe food ingredient. As early as March 1987, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO) announced that MSG would be included in the safest food additives after more than ten years of follow-up research on the safety of MSG, and concluded that "the acceptable daily intake (ADI) is unlimited." In 1991, the European Community's Scientific Committee on Food (SCF) issued a report that identified MSG as a food ingredient with "no regulations on the acceptable daily intake (ADI)." With the development of the economy and society and the improvement of people's living standards, the application scope of MSG has become increasingly wide, becoming one of the basic ingredients in the food industry, condiment industry and home cooking.
